JOPLIN, MO – Joplin 44 PETRO is currently in the midst of a large-scale construction project scheduled for completion in early fall of 2025. The expansion will add 31,961 square foot of space to the existing food court, convenience store, and gift store area. In addition to adding 20 Telsa super chargers to the parking lot for electric vehicle travelers, McDonalds will also be joining the existing food concepts, set to open in late fall 2025.

In addition to refreshing the existing store and façade, Joplin 44 has a new logo, showcasing trademarked tagline “We’re Out of This World”, and the signature red arrow welcoming guests inside the truckstop. “When guests arrive to the Joplin 44, I want them to say “WOW!” and know that they’ll have an unforgettable experience at our facility. We’ve set out to be the best – we strive to have the cleanest restrooms they’ve seen, the best food they’ve ever had, and the most fun road trip pit stop.” Senior Vice President Delia Moon Meier said, about the location her parents built along Interstate 44. “We can’t wait to show off our new entrances and our new layout.
