WALCOTT, IOWA — As a result of the Pilot Flying J merger, CAT Scale will now be the truck scale of choice at all Flying J Travel Plaza locations.
CAT Scale construction crews have embarked on a massive project to replace the existing J-Scales. CAT Scale is completely rebuilding each scale at 134 Flying J locations to meet their stringent specifications for reliability and accuracy and adding CAT Scales at six locations that currently do not have a scale. “ Each scale will be completely rebuilt with new concrete and new equipment; right down to the sign poles,” says Delia Moon Meier, Senior Vice President. “ We are excited about the opportunity to provide professional drivers with access to more CAT Scale locations where they can get a guaranteed accurate weight.”
CAT Scale expects the rebuild to take about 15 months with locations being completed and opened each month. New openings will be added to CAT Scale’s online scale locator, www.catscale.com, as they open and will also be posted on the CAT Scale Facebook page.
