Aaron Tippin to Perform at Walcott Truckers Jamboree on July 9th.

WALCOTT, IOWA — Oakgrove 70 Petro is pleased to announce that Aaron Tippin will be performing at the 30th Anniversary Walcott Truckers Jamboree on July 9th at 7 p.m.. The concert is being sponsored by Mobil Delvac.

In addition to the live Aaron Tippin concert, this year’s event will feature a gigantic anniversary cake; over 200 exhibits; a Super Truck Beauty Contest, Antique Truck Display; Iowa pork chop cookout; Trucker Olympics; carnival games; live music; a fireworks display and loads of fun for the whole family! Admission and parking are FREE! Shuttles will be provided from the parking area to the event grounds.

The Walcott Truckers Jamboree began in 1979 featuring a few exhibits, live music, food and a small display of antique trucks. That first Jamboree only attracted a few hundred drivers, a far cry from the 30,000 it attracts today. Even though the size of the Jamboree has changed over the years, you can bet that its focus hasn’t. Celebrating America’s Truckers is definitely what the Jamboree is all about. It is Iowa 80’s way of thanking drivers for all of their hard work and dedication in hauling America’s freight. This year also marks the 45th Anniversary for Oakgrove 70 Petro.

“We are honored to have been serving the professional driver for 45 years,” says Delia Moon Meier. “The Walcott Truckers Jamboree is our way of saying Thank You to drivers for the work they do and to let them know that we appreciate that they choose to stop at Iowa 80.”

The 30th Anniversary Walcott Truckers Jamboree, will be held July 9-10, 2009 at Oakgrove 70 Petro, I-80 Exit 284, Walcott, Iowa.
